A Technology Transfer Cell is set up at IGCAR for liaisoning with scientists and engineers of the Centre to promote technology transfer in the form of patents, technical know-how, consultancy, and interact with industries to facilitate such transfer of technology. Dr. U. Kamachi Mudali, Head, Corrosion Science and Technology Section-RPM is assigned with the responsibility as Head, IGCAR-Technology Transfer Cell (IGCAR-TTC) and he would be assisted by Shri D. Sujish, SO/D of STS/ST&HD, FRTG, in addition to their current responsibilities.
The mandate of the IGCAR-TTC IS:
1.To work out modalities for technology transfer in liaison with TT&CD of BARC
2.To liaise between the scientists/engineers of IGCAR, who are the investors, and the
user industries.
3.To organize industry-inventor meets, visits etc.
4.To prepare technology transfer documents and expedites the transfer of technology.
5.To pursue any other aspect related to technology transfer.
Shri. N. Vijayan Varier, Head, TC&QCS at BARC, Mumbai and Shri. J. Daniel Chellappa, EIC, TC&PAS at IGCAR Liaison Cell, Chennai will support Head, IGCAR-TTC to co-ordinate with the industries.
