Annual Report on Implementation of the provisions of Right To Information Act 2005 under Section 25(3) of the Act - Report for the year ending 31.12.2005
(a) Number of Requests received by each authority.
For the period ending 31-12-2005 four requests were
received. Out of this reply for the request which was received on 16-12-2005 was under preparation as on 31-12-2005 and immediate replies were sent
for the other three requests. As the requests were in electronic form no fees
has been charged.
(b) Number of decisions where
applications were not entitled to access the documents pursuant to the requests, the
Act under which these decisions were made and the number of times such
provisions were invoked.
There was no request for access to the documents.
(c) The number of appeals referred to
Central Information Commission for review, the nature of appeals and the outcome
of appeals.
No appeal has been referred to CIC.
(d) Details of disciplinary action taken
against any officer in respect of administration of this Act.
No case of disciplinary action taken against any officer.
(e) Amount of charges collected by each public authority under this Act.
No amount has been charged as the replies were sent by
electronic media.
(f) The details to indicate efforts made
by the public authorities to administer and implement the spirit and
intention of this Act.
Web sites are expanded to contain wealth of information.
PIO has taken part in workshops conducted to learn the spirit behind this ACT.
(g) Suitable suggestions for reform,
including those required for development, improvement, modernization , reform
for the amendment of the Act or other legislation or common law or any other
matter relevant for operationalisation the Right to access the information
As far as IGCAR is concerned most of the information required by public has been put on the web which is dynamic.
